Who needs a TV built into their fridge, yet still Samsung makes them.



More seriously, Samsung makes CE sound systems, and I’d hate to see Roon start to shrivel and die if Samsung decides to prioritize their brands/ delay competitors certification, or other brands decide they don’t want to give Samsung/Harman money as they are competing in the same markets.

I’m unsure myself. I love Roon personally, so I’m a little afraid of Samsung f*cking with it. Which may happen, but I liked the fact that the Roon team is staying and it’ll be handled as a separate entity, as opposed to being swallowed whole and becoming a proprietary “feature” of Samsung and Harmon gear.

Yes but whilst Samsung probably aren’t google levels of shit how nest got swallowed and regurgitated out always makes me hesitant with these kind of things, even if the original team remains.

This is the key. Plenty of companies are acquired with press releases pronouncing their ongoing independence and continuing leadership, only to be gutted after a year or so, when existing customers have bought into the initial company line and not bailed.

Actually those are about the same price as my first pair of the Campfires the "IO". But those Orbits are actually wireless.
