The Dark Side; Digital audio equipment recommendations and setup.

The ability to do that depends on your level and type of crazy. I start a job like that and I lose track of the concepts of time and the outside world until it’s finished….
I think if I were to do that then there’d have to be some sort of surreal environmental happening that gave me the need of a personal mission.

Off the top of my head something like a worldwide major health event that meant nobody could leave their house for months so had time to burn (cds). But honestly… what’s the chances of something like that ever happening

Honestly, at times the digital/computer side of this stuff is really frustrating. First the Kefs decided to ignore my NAS, and now the Linn isn't connecting to the network. I need to remember that pulling the power cord is a legitimate IT fix - it sorted the Kefs, and I think I'm going to have to do it for the Linn.

By using optical, am I leaving anything on the table just by its inherent constraints, considering I’m only streaming Tidal?
In my limited and non-scientific testing, yes you would be leaving a small amount on the table with optical.
System dependent, so take it with a grain of salt. Best bet is to test it at home in your system.

There's no rush. It's not like anyone is stopping cable production :)
