Norman Bates: "We all go a little mad sometimes, haven't you?"

Clouds Taste Satanic - 76 A.E.

Couple reasons why I picked this one. It just came out and arrived yesterday (I missed the signed edition, but the fellas in the band were kind enough to sign my copy too after I emailed them). For those who don't know, this band is Brooklyn based now and does instrumental doom and post-metal albums. Their Christmas album of covers that came out this past holiday season smoked. This one is about human extinction caused by climate change. It's both caused by insane people and drives the rest of insane that we're doing this to ourselves. So I'd say it fits the idea of going a bit mad.

Psycho

I'm not even going to swat that fly. I hope they are watching. They’ll see. They’ll see and they’ll know. They'll say ‘Why, she wouldn't even hurt a fly.’”

Taylor performed “Haunted” at the Psycho house on the Universal Studios Hollywood backlot in 2010 for an NBC special.

ngl, my first thought for this prompt was Kanye (bcuz of all the madness throughout his career), but decided against it bcuz I don’t want to listen to Kanye (now and probably anytime soon).

Mulder is a little mad at times and appears to often be paranoid. But then, are you paranoid if people are really out there trying to get you?

I believe the only "score" of this movie that is available is a re-recording from 1976. Even releases that claim to be from 1960, as these all seem to be ripped from the isolated score track on a laserdisc release.

Ferris is sampled here on "1-800 Suicide," which is actually where I first heard this quote (many times) before ever seeing the movie.

Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump: "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get"

You never know what you're gonna get is true for this band, and this album is all over the place stylistically on its own as well.

Well, since I am playing hooky today because the wife tested positive for COVID this morning and I'm currently spinning this album, it works! Plus it's a great slow down and smell the roses kind of album. Absolute classic.
