I'll watch a condensed game when I get home in the morning and offer commentary then.
Back to this.

Jayden Daniels has arrived. Only a rookie, and yet he looks so composed in the pocket like a multiyear quality NFL vet in both of his road playoff wins. He hasn't turned the ball over and made some incredible downfield throws, like this one to Dyami Brown who was blinded by the DET defender:

Terry McLaurin is an underrated name alone (despite being 2nd in rec TD this season) but who is Dyami Brown, you ask? I didn't know, either. The man had 30rec, 308yds, 1TD in this regular season playing in almost all games. But in these two postseason games? He's hauled in 11rec, 187yds, 1TD. Pretty stellar, and this effort from unsung heroes makes all the difference when playing the higher seeds.

But I have to ask of DET:

1) Why did they stop running the ball late in the game? Even at halftime, the game was within two scores and well within reach. WAS run defense is worst in the league, and DET was averaging well over 8ypc. With splitting carries between Gibbs and Montgomery, there was zero excuse for the play balance to be as uneven as it was (43pass/23run).
2) What is the reasoning for trick/gadget plays? The one with Williams throwing a pass downfield, with the season on the line, backfired and deservedly got clowned on. You don't run those plays unless you are way ahead in possession count and want to show off. It's another tough playoff lesson for Dan Campbell; last year against SF was the overly aggressive 4th down calls, this year was inexcusably bad offensive passes downfield. DET was moving the ball with ease for the majority of the game so...why?
3) Discipline. What's the excuse for a 15-win team to have 12 men on the field?

All that to say...good shit, Commanders. Jayden Daniels is already a top10 QB in the league, and will be a problem for the NFC moving forward. Funny how after cutting out the previous cancerous owner has led to an NFC title game appearance just two years later. Outside of McLaurin, dragging a team with the aforementioned Dyami Brown, an ancient Zach Ertz, washed Austin Ekeler, and a few other nobodies to the postseason is remarkable.

EDIT: grammar

You're asking the same questions a lot of us fans are. Gibbs is magical, even in traffic, stop outsmarting yourselves. Williams throwing a pass was ridiculous, whether they were up or down. Ben Johnson will likely take a job elsewhere so I hope for a playbook that stays a little shy of those kinds of plays.

It felt weird going into the playoffs this year. Both coordinators doing interviews all week, and the Lions watching instead of playing. It almost seems like starting on the road without the bye would have helped. But, I am taking a lot of copium today. Trying to get interested in these other games is difficult.

Drops absolutely killed the Ravens man, feel bad for Lamar.

Bills and commanders all the way, this country does not need a Chiefs Eagles retread right now.
Buffalo Vs Washington would be a rematch of the Bills 2nd Super Bowl (not sure on the number but it was the 1991 season), one of the first SB that I remember watching. I don’t think I watched the Bills Giants Super Bowl the year prior but I remember knowing that The Biils Lost to The Giants.

I am with you on rooting for a Bills vs Commanders Super Bowl which of course means it’ll be Chiefs vs Eagles again.

New Orleans is the only city in America that can handle two weeks straight of Buffalo Philly tailgating so we need to take advantage of this while we can

I will root for the eagles if they go against the Chiefs.

The Conference Championship games should both be barn burners. Looking forward to next Sunday.

I was curious about the NFL as a whole and only The Cleveland Browns, who haven’t made it to the AFC Championship game since 1989 (yikes!), The Miami Dolphins, who haven’t been since 1992, and The Texans who have never made it to the AFC championship ever are the only teams with longer droughts.

Dolphins fan born in 1993, feels absolutely right

NFL just banned the New England Patriots from using Bluesky.

The Patriots migrated from X to Bluesky, but the NFL made them shut down their Bluesky account.

They haven’t approved of the platform for any teams yet unfortunately. I would imagine that will change soon. 28 Million users. Also r/NFL just banned links from Twitter going forward. It will happen eventually it’s just unfortunate that it hasn’t happened yet.

Bluesky Sports feed is is more robust than I ever and a lot of the Twitter sports people have either fully migrated or at the very least posting on both sites.

Been reading more up on it. Some tech sites had some better coverage. It's not just that Bluesky is not an approved platform yet. But the NFL also has media deals with X and Meta. These deals might not allow them to approve Bluesky as a platform as they stand currently.
