The football thread RenegadeMonster is looking for: NFL talk

They haven’t approved of the platform for any teams yet unfortunately. I would imagine that will change soon. 28 Million users. Also r/NFL just banned links from Twitter going forward. It will happen eventually it’s just unfortunate that it hasn’t happened yet.

Bluesky Sports feed is is more robust than I ever and a lot of the Twitter sports people have either fully migrated or at the very least posting on both sites.
I'm barely hanging on to Twitter for the sports content...can't wait until most of the folks there migrate over to BlueSky

Been reading more up on it. Some tech sites had some better coverage. It's not just that Bluesky is not an approved platform yet. But the NFL also has media deals with X and Meta. These deals might not allow them to approve Bluesky as a platform as they stand currently.
That is for content so they might not be able to post direct NFL content to Bluesky but teams could still set up profiles and accounts to provide news and information to fans. The NFL doesn’t have a deal with TikTok either but all 32 teams have TikTok accounts.

It’s not a grand conspiracy. The NFL is just slow. I bet by the draft and definitely by next season all the teams will have accounts on Bluesky.

I deactivated Twitter today and sports was one of a few things keeping me there. Will check out the sports feed and give some folks follows
Keep in mind that’s my sports feed so probably a lot more White Sox, Bears, Illini, Bulls people than what most sane people would stomach. But Bluesky provides the ability for users to generate “Starter Packs” which I have found helpful in tracking down many follows.

So is it worrisome that your team's owner decides to hire a very unpopular option on a Friday evening before Championship weekend in a portion of the week known media wide as "the Friday news dump"? May this be the final head coach that Jerry Jones can hire.

LOL! Did he hire Schottenheimer!? What a goof. Why not just pay McCarthy then? I was glad The Bears didn’t hire McCarthy but Schottenheimer seams like such a downgrade.

Hearing Witten may not be involved at all because either he, or jerruh, or schotty or whoever is too embarrassed about the whole thing is just 🤌
