It's unlikely that he would have been able to play any games next season due to is knee injury. I think that's what lead to the turn of events.

I can imagine. It seems like an OL might have been the move...but if Chase turns out to be a fantastic NFL receiver it’s not exactly ridiculous.

I'm always for swinging for the fences. In fact, I wish my Eagles would have taken Fields when they traded up.

But missing at the top of the draft can be devastating for franchises and I can't think of two more not-miss prospects in this draft than Chase and Sewell

It feels weird to root for an Ohio St. QB. That being said I am very happy with this selection Fields was my favorite QB after Trevor Lawrence. He isn’t a sure fire stud but he is a better QB draft pick than Mitch Trubisky ever was. The real question now is how many games do the Bears have to tolerate Andy Dalton at QB before Fields is ready?
