I really enjoyed my week with Fugazi. Since I know Fugazi/Margin Walker/13 Songs so well, I decided to check out their whole discography this week as well. It's clear to me I had stopped paying attention after In on the Kill Taker, which is sad, but also cool because I get to really discover Red Medicine on.... The later stuff did make it clear (as I already kind of knew) that I want to get them in order moving forward as there is a clear progression in the band's sound/music. I had not realized how far they evolved and did not realize that they really reached the stratosphere and became something more than a Punk Band.
Joy Division... again, an album I know fairly well (maybe not as well as 13 Songs)... again an album I wouldn't really expect on this list. Although I knew from the Warsaw stuff on Heart and Soul that they had indeed once been a punk band. I debated skipping for the time being because I will be spending a lot of time with it soon as I will be reading the 33 1/3 after I finish the one on Electric Ladyland.
