Friend had a copy of i against i on tape. It got stuck in the cassette deck of his car so we listened to it over and over for about 3hrs. Awesome memory.
I originally came in here to discuss what the difference between some hardcore and metal is, like I get the cadence of the vocals here is hardcore most of the time, but most of the music is more akin to metal to me and that’s still a topic I wouldn’t mind exploring, but then for help in that, I read the Stereogum review which is how I came to listen to it in the first place and now I recommend both reading that and listening to the album. Because the story of the album and the album itself are quite remarkable and worthy of your time.

Too Much Too Soon is good as well, but it’s hard to beat the debut. I wasn’t super fond of the stuff they did when they reuinited, so imho you can skip the post-2006 stuff.Man, I really love this debut New York Dolls album. Are the rest of their albums any good? Should I just follow that rabbit hole chronologically or is there one I should head to next?
