The Funhouse - The Punks are all right


I originally came in here to discuss what the difference between some hardcore and metal is, like I get the cadence of the vocals here is hardcore most of the time, but most of the music is more akin to metal to me and that’s still a topic I wouldn’t mind exploring, but then for help in that, I read the Stereogum review which is how I came to listen to it in the first place and now I recommend both reading that and listening to the album. Because the story of the album and the album itself are quite remarkable and worthy of your time.

I really enjoyed this album a lot. I find I have a hard time with a lot of Hardcore, but between this and Zulu I've learned that, apparently, I enjoy powerviolence.

Reading the article after listening made me dig it even more. Will definitely be revisiting this one soon.
