Got the backorder message too. Assuming / hoping that its more of a timing of the pressing issue than a oversell. They would have figured out the oversell a lot earlier. Between RSD, Bears Choice, and Cornell that's a lot of vinyl coming out in a short time.

So you guys think the Cornell 77 repress is gonna happen in the near future? If it’s gonna be like a maybe in a year or something than I would prefer not to give Dead Inc a $123 interest free loan. My plan was just to get the Cornell 77 repress and probably hold off on the Boston 77 RSD release but now I am think I might just grab the Boston 77 on RSD and cancel Cornell if the repress Isn’t imminent.

if you go through the order status link in the email, mine shows as still 'pre-ordered' and not backordered - i've had items from there backordered before and the status changed after the email

I tried to cancel my order the day they sent out the emails about it being backordered, and it sure doesn't seem they were able to process that request. I got a very lengthy email from them today explaining that they couldn't respond specifically to my message, so instead they answered a dozen questions I hadn't asked. Wow. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, and I guess I'll be fine with whatever happens since, even if it does appear to be a less-than-fully-competent system, I won't hold them responsible for my changing my mind.
