I may be in the vast minority, but Dead And Company does nothing for me. I've been looking for the original GD spirit and the influence of Jerry in other places. I find those discoveries much more satisfying and heartfelt than the current incarnation.
Stumbled across this early CRB show I taped 10 years ago and Neal Casal has exactly what I described above going on in spades. Like Jerry, what a terrible loss.
The stretch from 3:50 to 8:00 is absolutely beautiful. I'd reckon Jerry approves...

They've pressed the first two for RSD, neither were sell outs and available for a decent period of time. I kind of applaud them for not churning out 5-6 LP sets every 6 months or so.
