I don’t have the companion disc to Light Year but I have some Juicy Sonic Magic on cassette.

It’s also, two separate back-to-back shows so there were a couple of opportunities but alas no “Karen”.
 
So I click on the link for the download Vol. 4, login to my cherry tree account, click "add to cart" the page refreshes but nothing happens the cart doesn't update, the download doesn't start, when I go the the cart it states it's empty. What is my dumbass doing wrong.

I had this happen too and for some reason, it seemed as though I had two different accounts with their site and a password misalignment- one for Cherry Tree store and one for their normal store. I had to reset my password, and when I did that, I was able to complete the check out process and then the same password worked to log into both.

Update: I emailed CS, they were able to correct the issue and I was able to download Vol. 4.

When they switched over to the new shop, you had to create a new separate login for the CT store. There was also a time when migrating over to the new site, some people had to reset their password (I think that was about a year ago or so)
Glad it's all sorted out for you. I just downloaded the files and intend to listen to them this afternoon. Looking forward to having an Alligator era show on wax!
 
this set is a great stroll down memory lane. my first time seeing them was on the Alligator tour where Clap Your Hands Say Yeah opened and all but about 40 people left after their opening set. i think seeing that, probably on a nightly basis, lit them up, because they played with a fury I really haven't seen them play with since.

What trajectories both bands have taken. That first CYHSY is seriously excellent but nothing came close to it since. And now their lead singer sometimes does solo tours in peoples living rooms while The National are an amphitheater band.

I had this problem too and I don’t know what I did to resolve it. But i got it. Then today I tried to add a cherry tree thing to cart, logged in and everything and the same thing happened and I don’t know how to resolve it again…

I would contact customer service. I think there is an issue with dueling profiles. I am guessing they need to delete one of them on the back end to fix the issue going forward.
 
just getting around to downloading the mp3s... wow, I've never seen such an overly complicated way to download mp3s from a band or label before. Surely The National could have taken advice from 4AD, or basically any other competent record label, on how to let someone download something inside their account. Needing to create a new order with Shop is just ridiculous.

Agreed. That said, they did suggest that the whole point of checking out with a new order was to confirm addresses before the merch starts shipping out later this month.
