Well, the venue itself is not super big. The McMenamin’s site is an old farm and is quite substantial with several buildings on it, it’s really cool place to see a show.

There will be people standing up by the stage I am sure so you’d have to make a choice; either try to stand close or find a nice place to sit with a blanket and/chair. I am sure the moment the doors open there will be a mad sprint up to the stage so if you wanna get super close your best bet is to get there early.
We are 40 and have stood close to the stage enough in our lives that we will probably show up early so we can find a nice unobstructed grassy spot to claim and set up some chairs and a blanket and sit back and enjoy the show.
The. Chairs have to be low profile and they do check when you enter. I forget the height limit but something like this would work.

This will be my first time seeing them so I'm thinking near the front is a must.
Maybe because cherry tree can't get close rows they get in first? That would be nice

I'm of the age where kicking back on some blankets with chairs sounds pretty fantastic BUT it would be cool if there was a Cherry Tree members section, or a preshow soundcheck deal. I guess we'll see soon enough.

Yeah, I doubt it. When we saw them at Marymoore Park which was the same type of set up as Edgefield (but a bit larger venue) the only perk for buying tickets via Cherry Tree was early access.
But who knows maybe things have changed. Just checking out their “What To Bring” section online and I am seeing Edgefield is no longer allowing backpacks or blankets (looks like we are gonna have to buy a clear bag and beach towels) into the venue which is kind of a bummer.

They started adding reserved seating for some shows last summer. It was really lame, as you could no longer work your way up to the front. Hoping they do away with it this year, but will know more when tix go on sale. @bdm105

That's a good sign, but they always sell GA tickets for the lawn. The reserved tickets go down in the bowl, right in front of the stage. If they don't end up selling reserved tickets, you should have no trouble getting very close to the stage. Just head down that way shortly after the opener wraps up. Most folks are too attached to their comfy lawn seats to bother.
