The National - Cherry Tree Club

what are the odds Taylor shows up at the NYC show? 👀

Looking to get tickets, but still not sure around my work schedule at the time. Can I sell tickets that i get using the Cherry Tree presale code?

“Purchaser's name must match Cherry Tree account information. Not for resale.”
Doesn’t look like it 🥲

although i think ticketstoday is a formerly owned by Dave Matthews product that ticketmaster bought and was used for the second wave of Taylor Swift tickets so yeah who knows

I was thinking the same about the Nashville show on Aug 15th. Doesn't she live there?

Her tour is over after Aug 9th, so theoretically any shows after that are a possibility.

I would love for that happen but I would expect not. Taylor probably got better things to do than show up to play with the National then again she did show up in London with the 1975. It could happen I once saw Passenger at Mercy Lounge and Ed Sheeran came out to sing with him.

I sold CT tix last spring and summer. Depending upon the ticket agent (AXS vs. TM) it was sometimes possible to convert paper tix to digital. I always get a hard ticket when possible and I believe CT tix have been paper tix. Usually for tix to the Garden, you have the option to transfer them, even if reselling is not allowed. You won't have any trouble selling.

There are stupid scalper laws that allows for reselling and no cap on price, so it's best to buy tix now rather than hope for the best on stubhub (though it does sometimes pay to play the waiting game til day of, when prices will drop)

My gut feeling is that this show is not going to be anywhere near sold out. That said, scalpers will grab good seats and prob a good chunk of GA's. If you are shut out, I'd wait rather than panic and pay insane stubhub / resale prices. Of course, that's easy for me to say as I'm in the NY metro area. It's a different story if you're traveling in... however, tickets ALWAYS become available close to day of show.

That's for buying only. They aren't gonna check at the door. And MSG tix may not be able to be resold on the TM site, but they are always transferable - there's the loophole. They can be put on StubHub or you can do a private sale and transfer to another TM account.

I think I’m gonna go for the Atlanta date. I’ll have to wait and see my work calendar to see when our school comes back. I might be able to swing both Nashville and Atalanta. But it’s much easier to drive to Atl and back in one night than Nashville.

It’s been a few years since I bought National tickets. Do we select and checkout here (https://thenational.shop.ticketstoday.com)? None of the dates, even east coast ones, actually link to a purchase page. Just a pop-up of the venue map.

Never mind! I see the option to buy tickets now. I was checking the wrong cities.

What are the odds of them announcing new dates in the obvious gap they have open this summer? They came up here last year and now I wonder if they'd want to do that again. I used to travel around New England to see them but now I kind of don't want to. I have some friends going to the Connecticut show but I'll be down a month later for the Postal Service/DCFC show at the same venue and that's too much traveling and money spent traveling in a short time period to do both.
