I really hope it's good. FTPOF was overall a bland album and I'm worried that a double album of more/less the same will be disappointing again.

National just said on their Instagram video that Album is out on the 18th. Vinyl will come out in November.

Ok so I can’t fully wrap my head around the new album yet, but I can say I loved my initial listen. I do think the things people missed on FTPOF are here. This is the band more back to their core sound. More drums, horns, guitars. It’s pretty great so far.
