Sun Ra & His Myth Science Arkestra – Angels And Demons At Play
I've been working at trying to only play Fresh Grabs and backlog the past two months, although this month has had a pair of second spins that were just too good for their respective prompts. This happens to be one of the small handful of Sun Ra records in my backlog so I figured I might as well go for it for today's prompt!

4 LP Box set from "The World Of Popular Music" series. This record set was to be used in a school setting to teach music from around the world. The music of various ethnic groups and instruments from Africa along some contemporary soul, jazz, and blues snippets.
And out in California, a rock star from Canada
Wrote a couple of great songs about the bad shit that went down
"Southern Man" and "Alabama" certainly told some truth

Also worth a listen - Neil covering a bit of Sweet Home Alabama just a few weeks after the plane crash. Whole thing is worth a listen obviously, but it transitions to the Skynyrd song at about 5 minutes in.
Day 22: Stars Fell on Alabama Johnny Jenkins - Ton-Ton Macoute! This album originally started out as Duane Allman Solo record before he scrapped the session and turning the album over to former Pinetoppers frontman’s solo debut. Allman had started off recording the album at the famed Muscle Shoals, ALABAMA studio (Duane’s slide work from this sessions is still prominently featured on a few of the track) before Jenkins completed the record back in Macon.
I searched my collection for "sun" and "sail," and this blast from my high school past came up... I guess it's kind of the opposite of solar boats, but...
