Very good album. Not their fault "Smoke on the Water" became every learning guitarist's first riff and soundtracked every visit to every music store for the next five decades. "Highway Star" and "Space Truckin'" are fantastic bookends.

No. Massively overrated Manics album. Won a tonne of awards, was there biggest seller and isn’t fantastic. It had 3 very good singles and the Everlasting which is just awful.

I do like this Deep Purple album better than the live thing. Not gonna turn them off when they come up in a playlist or on the classic rock station, but not gonna be seeking them out/adding them to the collection.

I got the Mono box for a decent deal and it was my deep dive. Do not regret it at all. I bought Lola and really need to explore after that. They are a great band. I should ping @HiFi Guy so he can grace us with his thoughts.
Muswell Hillbillies shouldn’t be missed.

The Kinks is a band I’m pretty unfamiliar with beyond the obvious hits like Waterloo Sunset and You Really Got Me. I have been meaning to catch up on them for ages though, so looking forward to this. I really like this a lot so far!
