Allmusic Review

I love this one too. 5/5

About Garbage. I know this has come up before but I really had no idea the album was so polarizing? In defense of Garbage's S/T - Yes the album is rock / alternative - Maybe you can argue that they refined & designed the music for the masses - but isn't' that what Pop is? You can put them in whatever box you think it belongs in but Garbage is pop. This album was huge in the 90s and I think with good reason.

With that said, I was an impressionable 90's MTV generation teen when this came out and it rocked my world. I remember first seeing Queer on MTV (back when they played music videos) and I was love lol. The sound / style I'd argue probably defined my taste in music for years to come, so to me, this is a very important album. The S/T is my favorite of theirs and is actually one of my favorites of all time - it's easily a 5/5 for me.

Portishead Dummy is a 5/5 for sure. I always did prefer listening to their S/T album but only because I think that album is perfect. There's nothing I don't like about this album though - but I do end up listening to songs from this vs the whole album usually - but that's because some of my favorites from them are on this as well.

I do need to relisten to Third again. I feel like the album was so different that it never clicked as well as the first 2 did. But I have a feeling I'd have a different perspective all these years later.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Rust Never Sleeps

Allmusic Review:

Neil Young albums are also available on Amazon and, of course, through the Neil Young Archives.

Here's a youtube if you have none of those:

The vinyl is pretty great as well :p

One of my top 2 vinyl Neil wants!
( Freedom is the other one)
Rust should be available and I've never had an issue with any of his official releases. I think I have an older version of this. I'm fairly certain my Live Rust is from @Yer Ol' Uncle D , but I think I won an ebay auction at Carolina Soul for this one. My memory is foggy though. I drank a lot back then.

Yeah, I imagine I could probably find one at my local tomorrow, were I to head there. I haven't prioritized Neil at all. In fact, up until 3 months ago, I had zero Neil Young on the shelf. I inherited a copy of Comes a Time from my grandparents' collection, but I passed it along to a friend who is a much bigger Neil fan than I am. Then in short order, said buddy gave me a copy of After the Gold Rush that he scored from the bargain bin, and I bought Zuma from our pal Sonic Pharmacist. I've been enjoying the passive pick-ups so far, but I suspect Live Rust may wind up being one of the ones I'm a little more active in procuring. Particularly knowing that official Neil generally means great pressings.
