Fuck these ticket prices.
What are you seeing? 140 all in for the best Tix in Cincy. It’s not cheap, but considering their profile and the stage show they deliver, it’s way worth it.
Aren’t most Billboard top artists in the 100’s?
Maybe... but I can't/won't pay it. It's getting ludicrous, and by paying it, people are enabling it.
Looks like Upper Level in Philadelphia are $101.50 after fees.
Yeah, I saw them at Lollapalooza 1997. It was mind blowing but they were on a bill full of acts I probably paid a grand total of $60 max to see. Get off my lawn?I was lucky enough to catch them on the second stage at Lollapalooza 1993 (St. Louis). It was a good year - Primus, Alice In Chains, Rage Against The Machine
Looks like they aren't playing in Portland this time around....or anywhere in the PNW.
I wish San An was those prices. I'm pretty sure the nose bleeds were very close to that all in. Everything below the top section had a face value above $100. Not a single seat under $138. I think some of it might be various vendors though. We had satan's child aka Ticketmaster running the San An show. I know they fluctuate prices based on demand... and this was obviously pretty high demand. What are you seeing? 140 all in for the best Tix in Cincy. I really can’t get over Fear Inoculum. Still listening daily, sometimes multiple times. A greater appreciation comes with more familiarity, for sure.Which only seems to grow.
Been trying to figure out what effects Adam is using for his “Fear Inoculum” solo that cuts through around 9 minutes and 30 seconds into the song. A little bit of Wah-Wah for sure, maybe a Flanger pedal? Awesome fucking tone, that’s for sure, and Id love to copy it if any guitarists have any more clues.
CCTrip is the great if not a little out of place? As a Tool interlude, which is how I'm choosing to look at it, it's the best one they've put out.
Great album and getting better on repeat listens.
Man, pretty much same situation here, except one—switch the spots for “Invincible” and “Pnuema” and two—I actually love the interludes, I want them on the vinyl version although i don’t think they will be. “Legion Inoculent” is all kinds of awesome alien abduction psychedelia.Unsurprisingly, this is as much of a grower as any of their other albums. Songs that weren't my favorite are now some of my favorites. Standouts started as Pneuma and 7empest, but now I find myself being wowed by Fear Inoculum and Invincible. Descending and Culling Voices haven't hit high levels for me yet although they are "good. CCTrip is the great if not a little out of place? After a lot of time with this album now, so many of the songs have grown on me after being immediately taken by Fear Inoculum and 7empest. If I had to rank the main songs right now, it might go:Man, pretty much same situation here, except one—switch the spots for “Invincible” and “Pnuema” and two—I actually love the interludes, I want them on the vinyl version although i don’t think they will be. “Legion Inoculent” is all kinds of awesome alien abduction psychedelia.
“Deacending” is growing on me right now. “Culling Voices” is definitely the “quiet” song on the album, but it has some of the most memorable lyrics for me.
Part of me wishes they would have just left the segment in “Invincible” from 10:53 and onward off the track. I think the instrumental part before that works beautifully up to where, depending on which version you’re playing, “Legion Inoculent” or “Descending” would pick up from quite nicely. After a lot of time with this album now, so many of the songs have grown on me after being immediately taken by Fear Inoculum and 7empest. If I had to rank the main songs right now, it might go:
1. Descending
2. 7empest
3. Fear Inoculum
4. Culling Voices
5. Pnuema
6. Invincible (would probably be higher, but I'm still having issues integrating the slower tempo part from ~7-11 minutes - it just feels out of place within the song to me and I can't get it to stick or make contextual sense...yet)
