I know why, because running a forum is exhausting, holy shit, and that’s even when everyone’s getting along!i still feel the "shutting down the forum because they knew a big drama was gonna happen" thing seems a bit like a conspiracy theory
i do feel like it was possibly shutdown for PR reasons
but not because of that alone.

There's this too if anyone wants to go this route: https://store.bluenote.com/pages/contact-us
I'm not sure it's necessary. Are we under the impression they aren't aware how this big release they are apart of is going? There is at least one Blue Note rep on the FB group (Cem) and I've seen Blue Note Records 'like' at least one post. They've got to be tracking how this is going. Right?
Probably, but that's what happens on projects like this. BN vetoed and it wasn't a sword they wanted to die on or BN convinced them it was a bad idea. I don't have my set yet (Friday?!), but is there branding in other places? My attitude is if its just branding I could care less. If it is part of the design of album art, which would look tacky considering BN's iconic design style, I'd be more concerned.
I don’t think that’s a hot take. I like them both equally and both are 4/5 albums imo. Super enjoyable and feature fantastic playing but not straight up classics in my book.VMP logo on the labels but I think that's it.
Hot take of the day: Horace Silver Trio > Dexter Calling.
Ah wasn't aware of that. International shipping is a bummer.International members paid $46.67 per record.
Shame that it would have interfered with the CD album art that was blown up for Dexter Calling.we realized the stamp would interfere with the album art in some cases, so we opted against it.
You should be excited. It's a shame that the VMP screw ups have taken over the conversation because the pressing itself is really nice. Enjoy! Hoping they get there safely. We have cleared customs, I repeat, we have cleared customs. Still pretty excited to hear these despite my upset at the visual errors.

I think the album selection overall is pretty awesome on the whole box. I went in on it for Schizophrenia but am amped for all of the albums. Hoping there aren't any other bumps in the road on the rest of the releases.I couldn’t agree more. That Horace is the best out of the 6 in my opinion. I would have bought the whole anthology in large part just to secure a copy, if it was at all reasonably priced. ($180 is what it’s worth) I really hope it gets released separately.

It's almost like they shouldn't have announced details that weren't locked down...also, that FAQ must have been added recently because it was not there when I last checked as far as I remember...

I think that's giving them a lot of credit for picking 6 of 12 albums Don Was sent them, isn't it?Say what you wanna about their QC, they do have really good taste. Big reason I bit the bullet and dove in, I knew I'd get 6 solid albums I'd probably otherwise never know about / buy. Plus it's getting me deeper into jazziphilia which is cool.
