I really like Stax though and don’t mind if we get a lot of Classics ROTM’s that come from that label. They have a tremendously good catalogue! 💎

Also, I think Albert King’s King Does The King‘s Things was an excellent pick! The music, although they are covers, sound magnificent! 🔥🔥🔥

I think this Bar-Keys Classics ROTM will be fantastic also! I loved what I heard! 👏👏👏

As long as the music is good, I don’t mind either. I thought the Albert King was a lot fun. I’m not a big Elvis fan, but hearing his songs in this context was pretty cool.
 
aaand i am not liking the first song on this barkeys album


i will be buying a first/early press of a better funk album just for myself (im thinking between chic, earth wind and fire, or something else because my local store has the chic records for a good price but EW&F was good)

and we will have to beg storf to think about anything that isn't named stax for once

Chic’s debut is incredible! I love how cheeky and Parisian sounding that debut is! It really is a fancy sounding album! The Friday Music pressing sounds excellent, so if you get Chic’s Chic, get that pressing! 💎

i was getting an older pressing.. because my local used store had a used copy of that album, c'est chic and sister sledge

I love Sister Sledge’s album “We Are Family”! It has so many great tracks on there! 😍💯

‘He’s The Greatest Dancer’ 🕺 is one of my all-time favourite disco songs and was my favourite song to play whilst playing GTA: Liberty City! 🎯🎮

Yup, I was hounding him about Shotgun Willie arguably one of Willies best and sorely in need of a reissue and he said it would never happen because he already had a good copy.

Maybe Storf was being cheeky and sarcastic but I’m so bad with sarcasm because I’m so literal 🙊 So, I take it that Storf didn’t actually want to press that Willie Nelson album because he did have a great sounding pressing of it! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Storf needs to be a team player! Like you said, he might’ve just said that because they couldn’t get the rights to it, but still.....don’t say that and just be upfront about it! 💯

i'll probably buy the chic albums AND sister sledge if they are still around (i can ask my parents if i could go to the shop soon and have fun)

What do you mean by this? Are you parents very overprotective of you at the moment because of Coronavirus and I’m guessing because you don’t drive, you won’t go!? Your parents driving you to the record store is the only way for you to go there? 🤔😂

no.. i just have to wear a mask and thats all going to be fine.. but i dont drive though i do have a permit and should try to learn
