Vinyl Me Please Classics

Definitely a little bummed about the delay myself, but also figure it'll be worth it.

That said I'm definitely curious what their process is when they have some, but not all, of the stock - how do they pick who gets shipped first wave and who doesn't?
...my money's on dart board.

I got an email about Dorothy Ashby shipping, but no actual tracking. Country is my primary sub but added on both classics and essentials this month. Got separate emails about all three a few days ago, country has an actual tracking number, the other two do not. Do I have clue whats going on? No I do not.

I've got Classics as my main track, Country as my add-on, a preorder that's "in stock" and a pre-order that's set to arrive "mid-June" all in the queue and have no notices on any of them.

I had the Dorothy Ashby delay email as well and have messaged to see if this will affect the other orders that I have placed. I have 3 which are all showing in stock (Sons Of Kemet - Black To The Future, The Frank Derrick Total Experience - You Betcha!, Immanuel Wilkins - Omega) plus the Floating Points & Pharaoh Sanders - Promises which I believe should have been shipped this month (although they apparently lost a large shipment of them in transit to their warehouse.

Fingers crossed they will send them out separately unless their email is correct and it's only a week delay.

Kinda interesting mix on the Ashby album. Bass sounds very muffled and kinda quiet . Drums too a bit. I dig the tunes but I’m not crazy about the sound . It’s the recording not the pressing/mastering

Interesting, I'm very eager to hear this. If there's one thing my system does it's bring out detail so this may work well for me...

I think it's just the mix (on some songs its' more muffled than others). On The Moving Finger for instance the bass/drums sound great.

Yeah totally makes sense, a lot of the older Jazz recordings a can be pretty inconsistent between tracks, especially the smaller artists.

Vocal Jazz (58), Soul (74), Jazz (66) were the previous hints.

Last one- Speak No Evil by Wayne Shorter?

Actually, the number might be tracks.
