Wish I could tell you but I don't even have tracking yetHey gang - is the VMP Hopkins stereo or mono? Maybe I missed it but there's nothing on Discogs or the label.
Bummer. It sounds great actually. There just isn't any info on stereo/mono anywhere.Wish I could tell you but I don't even have tracking yet
I believe discogs is now saying Mono, but not sure how accurate it is.Hey gang - is the VMP Hopkins stereo or mono? Maybe I missed it but there's nothing on Discogs or the label.
Thanks. It sounded better with my mono engaged.I believe discogs is now saying Mono, but not sure how accurate it is.
Dude, I had inexplicably 3 replacement discs sent for the pressing wide messed up 2nd disc from OutKast ATliens. Really only needed one... they sent 3. All three arrived looking like this...I think the record companies know you now, and they save all the factory rejects that fail QC for you.
I think it is your platter that is warped! Record looks fine...Dude, I had inexplicably 3 replacement discs sent for the pressing wide messed up 2nd disc from OutKast ATliens. Really only needed one... they sent 3. All three arrived looking like this...

And the funny thing is the first VMP run was actually dead flat... but with that terrible GZ right channel noise. They fixed the noise, and added the warp.
Plot twist: what if Mathers platter actually IS UNEVEN AND THIS HAS BEEN THE ISSUE ALL ALONG?Dude, I had inexplicably 3 replacement discs sent for the pressing wide messed up 2nd disc from OutKast ATliens. Really only needed one... they sent 3. All three arrived looking like this...

I've often considered whether it has the ability to warp space and time... I'm running out of explanations.I think it is your platter that is warped! Record looks fine...
Trust me, the platter is as flat as flat can be.Plot twist: what if Mathers platter actually IS UNEVEN AND THIS HAS BEEN THE ISSUE ALL ALONG?
That's what some people say about the Earth.Trust me, the platter is as flat as flat can be.

I think I started in late 2017 and it was always not great for me in terms of pressing issues, always GZ though, never had issues with Classics even when GZ initially pressed them, I think the runs being smaller helped. But recently it's constant yes. I mean, again, they will always fix it for the most part. But woof it's rough right now...@Mather how long have you been with VMP?
The reason I ask is that I came in around the time of Gorillaz and I'm sure I never had the same level of quality issues with them that I have nowadays (although Gorillaz had the pressing-wide lock groove issue). I was looking through the early VMP records I have and cant remember getting replacements for many of them at all. I feel like every shipment that I get from VMP has at least 1 issue now.
Don't get me wrong they always replace them and I end up with what I expected, but still...
Just wondered if you have a similar experience?
Everything flat as a Russian tank in Ukraine over here...I think I started in late 2017 and it was always not great for me in terms of pressing issues, always GZ though, never had issues with Classics even when GZ initially pressed them, I think the runs being smaller helped.
