I'm 3 for 3 on warped Phineas Newborn records. Last month it took me 3 tries to get a non-warped Lightnin' Hopkins. I swear they have a whole stack of warped ones they are only pulling from to send me replacements.

Next 3 months of Classics is a jazz marathon. Sax, Vocal, Trumpet.

Should be a good run, always love when they throw a vocal jazz album in the mix.

Would be nice to get a male vocalist to spice things up. We've had Blossom Dearie, Abbey Lincoln, Barbara Lea and Billie Holiday (Essentials I know) but so far no male singers.

Sinatra’s reissue campaign a few years back had some excellent pressings but mediocre jacket quality and most of the albums released were pressed from hi res files. Give me an AAA version of It Might As Well Be Swing.

Seems it went OOP. Can’t find it anywhere either. Then VMP put the “exclusive” in the Quincy box set. I’d be surprised if it isn’t back into print soon

one album was recorded in 1965 but didn't release until 71, the others were recorded and released in 55 and 64

Coltrane's Live in Seattle was recorded in '65 and released in '71. And the man played sax.
