Vinyl Me Please Country

keith whitley is confirmed; apparently the vmp version will have 12 tracks and the other pressing is 9 tracks? i don't know, IDGAF about country generally so i was just skimming comments
It’s with this announcement it might be enough to get me to commit to a full year of VMP (with the 8 bonus LPs) I think it breaks down to just over $21 an album which seems pretty reasonable.

Yep. It is a really great record and it holds up really well. But we are two years in and we haven't seen Charley Pride, George Jones, Conway Twitty, you could go on an on. I subbed primary for old country titles and they have done a lot of the heavy hitters but still.
Easy swap for me. Still a couple I missed I wouldn’t mind having.

eh, i get it -- you want to appeal to the folks into classic countryand you want to keep the interest of the folks into new pop country stuff. if you do month after month of classic country you'll drive off the folks not into that

They’re calling it the tenth anniversary edition, which leads me to think something must be up. If it’s just a remaster, I’ll swap.
The 10th anniversary is a widespread release, it’s getting several variants. I’m going to assume it’s just a different variant.

His store variant looks to be the one that is up for preorder at the indie record stores.
