That Keith Whitley is a necessary album for this track that is unfortunately under discussed. I really, really hope it is that album for May.
From the discord chatter, I think we are good.

keith whitley is confirmed; apparently the vmp version will have 12 tracks and the other pressing is 9 tracks? i don't know, IDGAF about country generally so i was just skimming commentsMaybe that 1988 clue is Dwight Yoakam or Keith Whitley.
It’s with this announcement it might be enough to get me to commit to a full year of VMP (with the 8 bonus LPs) I think it breaks down to just over $21 an album which seems pretty reasonable.keith whitley is confirmed; apparently the vmp version will have 12 tracks and the other pressing is 9 tracks? i don't know, IDGAF about country generally so i was just skimming comments
Now if we could get some store drops to coincide with that release, things would be grand.keith whitley is confirmed; apparently the vmp version will have 12 tracks and the other pressing is 9 tracks?
So they're double dipping already on Sturgill?
Easy swap for me. Still a couple I missed I wouldn’t mind having.Yep. It is a really great record and it holds up really well. But we are two years in and we haven't seen Charley Pride, George Jones, Conway Twitty, you could go on an on. I subbed primary for old country titles and they have done a lot of the heavy hitters but still.
eh, i get it -- you want to appeal to the folks into classic countryand you want to keep the interest of the folks into new pop country stuff. if you do month after month of classic country you'll drive off the folks not into thatYep. I’m going to bet nothing, which is kinda annoying.Any deets on what’s special about the sturgill other than colored vinyl and “alternate” cover?
They’re calling it the tenth anniversary edition, which leads me to think something must be up. If it’s just a remaster, I’ll swap.I’m going to bet nothing, which is kinda annoying.
The 10th anniversary is a widespread release, it’s getting several variants. I’m going to assume it’s just a different variant. They’re calling it the tenth anniversary edition, which leads me to think something must be up. If it’s just a remaster, I’ll swap.

Yup. Seems like a waste of a track, especially for something that’s listed at $26 retail elsewhere.VMP gotta VMP.
