Vinyl Me Please Essentials

Yeah wait and see what's actually in the box, they both are probably in there. From their most recent email:

Multiple orders will be shipped together. You will receive a shipping notification for each order, but only one of the shipping notifications will contain your tracking number. This optimization has allowed us to ship more efficiently but might be confusing for your inbox. Please open and inspect all shipping emails for the email that contains your tracking # before contacting support, as any order that does not contain tracking information was likely bundled together with another order from the same day that has your tracking information.

Very conflicted on Bitte Orca. I love Stillness Is the Move, but I've never been able to get into Dirty Projectors beyond that song. I am a huge Deerhunter fan and didn't go to their last tour because DP was opening. This package looks amazing tho, is it worth the effort? Did this record take a long time to click with anyone?

I am in the same boat with you. I have swing low and self titled... do I need any more than that? I'm not sure at this point.

Yeah look, the "I guess it's ok" consensus, the lack of it being cut at 45 and available on black for less than $15, and everyone likely auto-rolling over due to the massive mess VMP is in, and so many more trying to hold on to that Feb three month rollout- this Essentials is heading straight for the ROTM Discogs bargain bin with St. Vincent/Mitski/Slaeter-Kinney (im not picking on them, those are good albums, but there are patterns at foot here)

I absolutely agree, but I’m also too lazy these days to nickel-and-dime ROTMs I actually want. Like, yes it will probably end up on Discogs for $15 + $4 shipping in a few months. But it will definitely be warped or have some problem. Idk. The $6 is worth eliminating those hassles for me.

I still play the value game with most higher priced exclusives but I’ve been burnt more often than not lately. Angel Olsen was a success, but Buckley, the Stones, and sturgill never made it.

Basically the reason I'm cancelling. Like, what's the point when nine times out of ten you can pick up the ROTM on Discogs for like $15 after only a few months anyway? With the rare exceptions of things like Saba, Blossom Dearie and (for a while) Tidal, you can pretty much guarantee someone's going to be flogging it later.
