I love Play but if I recall correctly Moby DID sell every track on the album for commercial use. It was actually kinda innovative as at the time lots of artist looked down on licensing their music in that way as “sellouts” Moby said, “fuck it” and leaned in to music licensing and he not only made $ off the deals but it also gave his album a ton of exposure which drove sales. It was smart marketing on his part and now the practice is totally commonplace.was because every track from “Play” sounded like a soundtrack for car commercial ad!
