Vinyl Me Please Essentials

Second two are really great picks. Obviously hyperbole is hyperbole, but I'd definitely pick up BVSC if I do don't already have it and have been holding out for a decent reissue of Spiritualized.

Probable my favorite two Essentials in a row they've done. At least since the run from Cosmogramma to De La.

Agreed. First three months in a long time that I won’t be swapping any essentials! Had the thought recently that they should do a BVSC pressing and voila

Until I get a confirmed track list to know it’s the proper vinyl version. I’m assuming it’s not and it’s shit because although I’ll go back to these clowns for this album I’d rather not have to and also I don’t trust them an inch.

Right? I have the most recent reissue on Nonesuch which also used the original master. Not sure if it was AAA or not. Will this one be? It’s kind of hard to tell. I know BG was the original mastering engineer and has previously cut lacquers for the Classic Records issue which was the original US release. Im assuming this was originally recorded to tape?

I got that too. I was at least able to change track (which is what I wanted - I wanted Sahara) by pressing the edit button on my plan. But then again I think I'm being v lucky because this is my 4th month having only paid for 2. Nice to have VMP appear to screw up in a good way for once! (Although I'm not counting my chickens till I have the record, unwarped, in my hands)

So John who ditched for Albert king, and then sticking around for a bit of buena vista and then finally one of the best albums of the 90’s..and indeed ever, the mighty Spiritualized ....an essential record indeed
