Vinyl Me Please Essentials

Hahaha! I have a top 6 of Beatles albums and they’re all top tier, so nothing is bad. Pepper’s is bottom of that for me. It’s still great and I agree with the comments on production, it was groundbreaking and quite the achievement. I just think the other 5 are better collections of songs 🤷🏻‍♂️

Day In The Life is a crowning achievement though

I'm clearly biased in favor of Pepper’s and Magical Mystery Tour because they were basically the first popular albums I ever got into when I was 8 or 9 years old. Those cassette tapes were basically tattooed onto my brain.

“Lovely Rita” is my favorite Beatles song, so I’m broken beyond repair.

Yeah, in my personal experience it is pretty uncommon for critics or internet people to rank The White Album in their 1 or 2 spot. Nothing wrong with it of course, just an observation.
I am a Revolver person myself but there are good arguments for most of their later albums. I find the white album to be a bit too bloated with half finished ideas to reach the top of my personal listed it’s just splitting hairs debating those albums though.

Yeah, that's similar to the criticism I usually see. I would put Revolver and Abbey Rd over it for sure. I think I have a harder time ranking Rubber Soul, White, and Peppers after that.

Always enjoyed the qurikiness. While some of those ideas were half-baked, they were the building blocks for their future careers as a band and solo artists. It is my favorite but the argument of it being bloated is totally valid and true.
