What are the other Essentials clues that point to Africa Brasil?

Gotta be. Most likely Africa Brasil then? Unless one of his other albums contains more of a closeup than that.
That would be awesome too!. Really hoping his album with Gilberto Gil gets a reissue sometime soon too.
I personally hope it's Forca Bruta over Africa Brasil, but I rarely get what I want.
I don't have any other copies to compare it to.... but this Phoenix sounds outstanding!
Yep - same here. Arrived yesterday. Though, I'd have to say it all looks good...no sleeve damage and flat records. Haven't listed to the Phoenix record yet though, just gave it a spin to check for warps.FWIW for those still wondering, mybox showed up today with no shipping notice and everything still showing pending on the site.
Was just about to point out the same thing. Hmmm???So, today's email from VMP pretty much confirms Sleater-Kinney AOTM for August, no?
Dig Me Out.I'm glad they let it slip, it'll keep people from getting mad about pre-ordering it elsewhere. That said, I've never listened to a full Sleater-Kinney record. Where do I even start?
Thanks!
Not that my experience is unique but I didn't appreciate Dig Me Out nearly as much until I listened to The Woods.Dig Me Out.
Followed by The Woods.
Then The Hot Rock.
Then just go back and listen to them chronologically.
"Start Together" came on during my commute into work this morning and had me reconsidering whether or not I think "The Hot Rock" is their best album. And I think I do! It also made me think that I'm probably also selling "All Hands..." short because that album is soooo good too. I mean, Youth Decay! But it's still probably appropriately fourth or fifth on my list.Dig Me Out.
