Exactly. Media mail is the absolute last priority too so that gets shoved in the corner of the post offices and forgotten about until they have time to actually scan stuff and send it on it’s way. Plus literally everyone is buying shit online for Christmas so I don’t expect timely media mail shipping at all until after the New Year.
I think I would've actually preferred "Is This It"Oi, I keep trying to really enjoy The Strokes but it never clicks outside of the odd track. I find their vocal mixing to be insufferable sometimes, feels like you can barely hear them over the instrumentation mostly and I don’t find the instrumentation to be impressive enough to warrant such a vinyl investment. I've actually always considered them both as equally good albums... Is This It was more impactful, of course, but song-for-song they both hold up for me.
I'd feel better if my box made it to its next destination and then sat there for awhile. It worries me a little more that the last activity was "departed Greensboro" six days ago and hasn't gotten to the next facility (usually Jersey City) yet. But I guess what you're saying is that it could have arrived there but hasn't been scanned in yet?

I think that is part of the charm. Casablanca’s vocals rarely rising beyond a disaffected mumble. Also, I think both their guitarists rip and play off each other in a nice tight fashion but that is my opinion and no ones gonna like everything.
To each their own of course, but it seemed to me like they were just trying to copy the first album the best they could, and they did a terrible job. Or maybe that’s just what I wanted them to do and I was terribly disappointed by the result lol. Who knows, I haven’t listened to room on fire in forever. Yeah, if you are talking about “Essential” definitely Is This It is the right answer though Room On Fire is a great follow up. It strays just enough from their debut to keep things interesting.
