I'm assuming Supergrass did not get a mention in Meet Me in the Bathroom ... which VMP clearly believes is the bible for early 2000s rock. Anyway, somebody needs to reissue Life on Other Planets already. Geez.

I'm pretty sure they were not referenced, particularly since Meet Me in the Bathroom is focused around NYC.

Yeah they both just fit the clue but considering they like to have a theme throughout the monthly tracks, with the Ramones being the quintessential NYC band I could definitely seeing this fit with the "Meet Me In The Bathroom" vibe.

I couldn't get into LCD soundsystem when I was younger because I heard dance punk and imagined less talking heads and more hardcore or pop punk.. maybe I might like it more now

Ramones was my first instinct for the August 1976 pick, but I figured Modern Lovers would be a better one to reissue. Ramones had a great AAA Rhino release back in 2011 that I already have so I'm hoping it's something else selfishly. Fits the theme of NYC bands

My hot take is that it's my least favourite album by them. The next two albums are by far the better picks, so if you're going to start somewhere, I'd say start there.

Yeah that would be dissappointing. But at the same time, I’d be able to save some money. So either way…

Likely what's going to happen. I can't see them improving on sound so I'm happy with my non-reddit approved black copy.

Don't get me wrong...TOTBL is still a really good album and had some great tracks on it, but there's maybe one skip on Antics, a few on their debut.

Then Our Love to Admire came out....sigh.

or
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers S/T

But It wont be.
