Probably not essential to too many people besides me, but 2001...The Moldy Peaches!
I heard you have a compilation of every good song ever done by anybody. Every great song by the Beach Boys. All the underground hits. All the Modern Lovers tracks. I heard you have a vinyl of every Niagara record on German import. I heard that you have a white label of every seminal Detroit techno hit - 1985, '86, '87. I heard that you have a CD compilation of every good '60s cut and another box set from the '70s.
I’m losing my edge.
It's a great album. I'd happily take it.Clap Your Hands Say Yeah could use a reissue. I’m assuming a large chunk of the subscribers might not like that album though.
Lotta Moldy Peaches in Meet Me In The Bathroom I would be alright with that.Probably not essential to too many people besides me, but 2001...The Moldy Peaches!
Well mine left meBeyond the add on cost, man keeping an international sub at like $52USD for something I can get for like $30CAD. My wife would flay me.
I would be good with that one too but it’s another DFA release so I don’t now if they would go that route. It's a shame it isn't the Rapture "Echoes" that would be a great pick IMHO
Smart manWe don’t discuss the cost of records in our home or I would already be dead.
I am sorry to hear that.Well mine left me![]()
Thanks man! But honestly it has been a long time coming! Vinyl was only a pretext for her departure.I am sorry to hear that.
I have not read the book.
But based on this playlist, 2002 Doves/The Last Broadcast [ @Joe Mac ] is in play.
I also see that the Hold Steady are mentioned in the book based on the playlist.
It won't be (2005) Separation Sunday - but it should be.
Don't put it past them.So are Don’t Believe The Truth and Heathen Chemistry by Oasis…
…I would laugh so fucking hard if they put our later career oasis in essentials, and I’m a fa
I would resub for one of those, lolSo are Don’t Believe The Truth and Heathen Chemistry by Oasis…

I would resub for one of those, lol
Oh yeah, definitely agree that they aren't essential at all, but I don't think a lot of the VMP picks are essential (to me) and I'm a few years past being into a lot of the New York indie scene from the 00s, beyond what I already own and love anyway.I like them both, and actually the pressings out there in the wild at current are really good, but they’re not essential lol. As much as I love oasis only Definitely Maybe and the singles off Morning Glory are essential in a wider sense.
Pitchfork gave CYHSY a 9.0It’s a perfect 10 according to P4k.
I remember them touring with the National and everyone going in to see CYHSY and coming out being blown away by The National.
My bad, I guess I thought it was higher because of the resounding hype around it at the time. I love that album too.Pitchfork gave CYHSY a 9.0
The best pick for 2005 would be
(except it's only the US promo that came out in '05)![]()
