@pdro_logn WHAT ARE YOUR CREDENTIALS?!!!? (jk I really appreciate everyone giving me some listening guidance even if you all don't agree).

I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily overlooked as I would consider it probably The Beastie Boys biggest album for people that are not necessarily Beastie Boys fans but due to a lot of it’s juvenile lyrical content (that the Beasties were even embarrassed by later in life) License To Ill is a bit of an afterthought but when I went back and listened to that record again for the first time in years, coinciding with me reading about the making of that album in The Beastie Boys Book I forgot how great a lot of that elemental production was. There is some really interesting stuff on there that I think is taken for granted a lot of Beastie Boys fans.

ha! I'm at work, so can't bust out my collection @TenderLovingKiller® style, but I can assure you that anyone like @TenderLovingKiller® or myself will tell you that you really can't go wrong with any of their main releases. They're all just different versions of great.

Leaving off Some Old Bullshit and Aglio E Olio is a choice, and one that I assume many would make. Completists only.

Sure, but also Bullshit is a comp and Aglio is an EP, yeah?

Yup, completely agree. It’s hard to go wrong with any of their albums.

The Sound Of Science Beastie Boys Anthology is excellent as well. Even if you have most of their released material, this comp includes “Alive” and The Biz covering“Benny and The Jets”.

Yeah that Sound of Science comp is nice. That CD was my main BB listening back in high school.

That Fatboy Slim mix of Body Movin' played at our wedding reception twenty two years ago. It still slaps.
