Vinyl Me Please Essentials

I know it might be a bit early but did anyone get interpol yet? If so, How does it sound?
Still think it's too early.
I'd expect copies to start arriving maybe Friday or early next week.

Reddit is usually the gauge of when VMP orders are out in the wild as people will definitely post pics when they get theirs.

I think with the holiday there's probably a day or two delay.

So if I can only get 1?
IMO, The AP 2x45 Mono is the definitive version. The mono/stereo is more a preference thing as the stereo mastered really well (no hard pan issues or anything) but Brian Wilson was deaf in one ear and mixed everything in mono as a result. I think @Mather and a few others on here prefer the Stereo mix but I think the mono mix is probably as close to what Brian intended Pet Sounds to sound like.

so you're saying he'll definitely be writing the liner notes?

They can’t be worse than the Thin Lizzy ones. They were awful. Badly written and superficial. Especially the day after I’d happened across a brilliant documentary on Phil Lynott on RTÉ.

Yeah I’m with you in the mono but given that album is so beautifuly and purposively mixed together I just couldn’t ever countenance splitting the sides up so the 33 mono would always be my choice as the definitive.

Maybe the clue isn’t what we think.

Maybe the 1966 rock album is Jefferson Airplane “…Takes Off”.

Because, when an airplane propeller starts up it makes a “Bbbbbbbbbbbb” sound. So it starts with a b.
On Hoffman they'd start arguing that propellers make a "pfffffffff" noise instead. There would be diagrams and algorithms to prove this, I'm sure.

And there would be one guy on the first page claiming the Japanese propeller sounds better with 2 others jumping on him saying that every idiot knows that Japanese propellers sound like crap because they have a digital step
