Can't disagree with any of those arguments. I'd personally be stoked for Anthem, but it would probably be a tough sell for casual subscribers. I could, however, very much see VMP pushing the album's unorthodox production techniques as part of it not just being Essential Dead, but a psych Essential. Worth noting their Dead box set sold out pretty fast too, so they gotta think the market is there. And I think Hemotep has already proven Dead fans that already own the album will indeed buy another copy. As far as Anthem needing a repress, we can easily argue neither Check Your Head nor Blonde on Blonde were exactly begging for one either.
All that being said, I still think they'd rather push something like Cheap Thrills and flaunt it as the arrival of Janis Joplin.
