yeah its mostly just people compiling.. and without GMP as a motivator there isn't much of a reason to keep it hidden


BUT i do wanna say there is a bit of a misunderstanding for why they aren't doing the GMP this quarter, yeah its partially because the discord guessed it but also because november is going to be announced some time before the other announcements come as a press release

It's like a ruined surprise party. Should we all pretend to be shocked? You know how this wouldn't happen in the future? Again, act like a big boy company.
 
Jumping in to bitch about them real fast. They way they make their members jump through hoops to stay informed is complete bullshit. Going from an official forum to reddit being the main place and now that part of the community is getting shafted for discord. I shouldn’t have to download the app of the month to stay informed about what I’m paying for

My 3 months on just ended so I was wondering if I should stay on for another quarter. Nothing worth the price for me so I’m dipping out again
 
I can't make heads or tails of whatever is happening with VMP, Discord, N&G and what y'all are talking about. Maybe I'm just getting too old but I don't know WTF occupies so much mental real estate for some people or what they think is happening or how much any of whatever is or is not wherever it may or may not be is anything or nothing of real value.

Basically, what I'm saying is I'm confused...have they announced the next quarter and, if so, can someone hold my hand, be my North Star, my beacon in the night, and tell me what they are?

i mean loyalty to any corporation is kinda just an issue with the personification of brands so it makes sense that some people would be attached, if that a good thing, probably not
 
Question for you good folks....how are swap credits calculated? For example, if you have a 3 vs 6 vs 12 month membership what would be a one track swap credit? Are they the same or calculated differently since, for example, a 12 month would have a lower monthly value.

IANYL but I am pretty sure it is pro-rated based on what you paid. So yes if you have a 12 month sub you will get slightly less credits than if you did only a 3 month sub

Cool.

I'm thinking of doing the 6+3 in October, as there are exactly 4 past ROTMS I want. So swap whatever track I choose to one of the 4 plus the other 3 w/ the free records. But besides Sextant, if the guesses are correct, and depending on Jan-Mar, I may be doing a lot of swaps for credit.

Can you then use the credit if your account doesn't have an active membership - although then I guess a lot of things would have higher non-member prices (or everything....does all of their stock have a member vs non-member price?).

I’d feel more this way if they were doing a GMP contest this quarter but they said they wouldn’t because most of these ROTMS are getting officially announced ahead of time anyways.

But generally speaking, the discord is a pretty chill place and you get an early heads up on a lot of stuff, because you putting the time and effort to participate shows VMP you’re probably among their most loyal fans.

Oh dang! I was thinking it was the Willie and Family Live album but it’s the studio album from 71 right? I think VMP should have done the Bobbie Gentry anthology on vinyl. I think it only got a CD reissue but those albums are great and could have really used a higher profile release.

Yep, I assume it’s the studio album! They currently have the Live LP as a (wildly expensive) store exclusive.
