Vinyl Me Please Essentials

Made what’ll probably be my last VMP order last night as my international sub expires in a week and a bit. Went out with Louis in London and the Cowboy Beebops in TbT.

And just now what I thought was my Ramones box turned up but nope. They sent the Black Moses and Heart albums I ordered after swaps closed separately instead… and then I got a separate dispatch note for The Scientist exclusive… and still no dispatch note on my sub. So in one month they’ll have sent at least 3 but more likely 4 packages to the UK when I’d have been cool to wait for a box with all the albums in.

I mean, I like VMP but that’s insane. Maybe one of the alternatives they could have considered for international members was, you know, not sending multiple packages on expensive shipments within 5 minute of each other. Some may have baulked at the idea but I’d have even settled for one box containing multiple monthly albums arriving on a quarterly basis.

Still. That’s Fridays listening sorted!

Same here. They shipped me two records yesterday and I am waiting for my box which should go today or in the next days. Must be a Shopify issue again... I remember when they were saying that it was not costing them too much to have multiple packages sent.

I am then waiting for swap preview and, if nothing exciting (situation I expect considering how weak are AotM for the next months), I'll ask for a refund and to cancel my membership.

It’s kinda frustrating because I know there are a lot of people saying the curation has gone to shit but I never have any trouble finding something in swaps (or general store credit) that I want. There are still a good few albums I’d like to have but siphoning off cash by needlessly shipping parcels left right and to Europe must be absolutely knacking them.

How long was your package in Customs for? I've had a box from VMP thats been sitting in customs for 5 days now 😐
