Vinyl Me Please Rap & Hip Hop

i wanna change the topic briefly have fun small talk about which is a better album Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik VS. Ridin' Dirty.Outkast is my fav duo of all times with UGK 2nd.with two Kast albums being in my top 5 fav Hip Hop albums of all time those Kast albums being Aquemini and ATLiens and one UGK album also being in my all time top 5 Hip Hop albums that UGK album being Ridin' Dirty.don't get me wrong Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik is a certified classic it was the South's answer to the G-Funk that was going on in the West coast at the time.i know we all have our opinions but in my opinion it's not on the same level of Ridin' Dirty.i don't mean to sound elitist but a lot of people outside of the South or not very familiar with either groups seem to dismiss Ridin' Dirty as a inferior album to Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.when it's my opinion that most Southern Hip Hop/Rap fans would agree Ridin' Dirty would win that battle.i would just like to hear others opinions on this.

Yeah, I don't think that's a controversial opinion. I don't know if it's fair to compare the two really since Southernplaya is very much a freshman album.

Hot take time. Ridin' Dirty is better than Southern.. but Too Hard To Swallow is better than Ridin' Dirty and ATLiens is better than Southern... wait.. that's not a very hot take at all.
 
IMO ATLiens and Aquemini are superior to most of the southern rap heavy-hitters because they're fucking great without any filler. That last part isn't something you can say about lots of others from the region. Even the best of UGK like Ridin' and Too Hard just feel less focused to me. I may be a bit of an OutKast Stan, but I think their later records from Stankonia on suffered from lengthiness and filler tracks as well, so they're not exempt.
