Yeah, any Frank Ocean would be an Essentials pick 100%! Because it would sell out as an Essentials pick, so why not press at least 30k-40k instead of around 5k-6k (the average pressing quantity for a R&HH ROTM)That would be sick but you gotta think that would be Essentials
I think mines out for delivery today got Otis yesterday .Finally received my Rick Ross record. It's completely flat/ not warped at all and sounds great. I'm just listening to it. I'm glad I've ordered it. It's energetic and fun.
I’M SO EXCITED TO GET THE NEXT CLUE FOR THE June RAP & HIP-HOP ROTM!!!! ♠
I know for April’s R&HH ROTM, that when the clue was “first time on vinyl, 2010’s”, I got really disappointed that it was Rick Ross. But I’ve got a REALLY, REALLY, REALLY good feeling this time about this R&HH ROTM! Really hoping we get Playboi Carti’s Die Lit or Megan Thee Stallion’s Fever. But there are also so many other great albums that haven’t been released on vinyl yet from the 2010’s!!

That VMP 90s Hip Hop list is just too much
Yeah, I get they don’t want to support Nas in any way but don’t even make a 90s Hip-Hop list if youre not going to include Illmatic. And that’s just the most obvious problem.
This list hurts the credibility of their “magazine”. Hot takes and different opinions are cool but this comes off as way more self promotional than a legitimate list.
Would also be really excited for ‘Die Lit’ or ‘The Pinkprint’.
'The Pinkprint' would be amazing, it's such a good album and it's unbelievable that it never was released on vinyl. Is there a certain reason for that? 'Pink Friday Roman Reloaded' and also 'Queen' have been released on vinyl.
What about "Yeezus" by Kanye West? I don't think that ever was released on vinyl. Only unofficially I think. That's an amazing record too, but probably way too big for VMP?
I would not want it to be Nicki Minaj’s Pinkprint. There are some amazing tracks on there like the Beyoncé assisted “Feeling Myself” and “Want Some More” but overall, half the album are skippers for me. And I can’t stand some of the heavy mainstream pop sounds throughout this album...Yeah, I get they don’t want to support Nas in any way but don’t even make a 90s Hip-Hop list if youre not going to include Illmatic. Exactly, I don’t wanna see any Kendrick Lamar Section.80, Frank Ocean Channel ORANGE or Kanye West Graduation guesses on here. There’s no way in the world those could ever be R&HH ROTM picks, only Essential ROTM picks!Any Kanye, Kendrick or Frank would be Essentials. We don’t even need to discuss those in the RHH forum. And they would all be exceptions to the one time rule if VMP has the opportunity. None of them will ever be a RHH release.
Die Lit or Fever would be great picks here.
