This is great! It will definitely be on heavy rotation this summer. So happy for you! Love spinning that album, especially in summer!
Any chance you saw doggystyle there? I've been trying to get my buddy to go over there and check and he hasn't made it yet.My latest "sold out" find at the VMP kiosk here in Denver!! View attachment 50328
Sad that VMP have reduced folk to this. Anticipating the worst now it used to be the bestim hoping for mos def though its probably something worse
too many of y'all are sleeping on that high and mighty album
shit like futures honest and mediocre essentials picks have put me into nihilismSad that VMP have reduced folk to this. Anticipating the worst now it used to be the best
I know it’s a stretch but good relationship with Egon=Madlib=Lootpack?I really hope we get one of these 5 albums:
Mos Def - Black On Both Sides
Ol’ Dirty Bastard - N***a Please
Prince Paul - A Prince Among Thieves
Lootpack- Sound Piece: The Antidote
Q-Tip - Amplified
I’ve got the most recent Chronic 2001 reissue and it sounds really, really good! I would love VMP to do a Dr Dre Chronic 2001 ROTM but I know that wouldn’t happen. And if it ever did, I reckon it would be an Essentials ROTM!
Cant wait for the next clue!!!
Nah its definitely been the underwhelming choices. I was the one person absolutely thrilled with Future Honest but I never actually expected it to happen lol that probably says it allshit like futures honest and mediocre essentials picks have put me into nihilism
that or because the world in general is complete shit and there is no hope
I did not see that. They had Open Mike Eagle, Few Goodie Mobs, TI KIng, EL-P, Run DMC, both The Roots, Denzel Curry TA3OO, N.E.R.D, Knxledge Hud Dreams, Rico Nasty, Clipse, Blackalicious and Queen Latifah. I have no idea why I remember all of those.Any chance you saw doggystyle there? I've been trying to get my buddy to go over there and check and he hasn't made it yet.
I don’t get this comment/post? Why are you anticipating the worst now???Sad that VMP have reduced folk to this. Anticipating the worst now it used to be the best
because of storf and the recently not great selectionsI don’t get this comment/post? Why are you anticipating the worst now???
I'm personally not anticipating the worst but alot of folk in here have been of late due to the opinion being poor choices. Like for example I see a majority forming that would like the pick to be Mos Def (me included) but folk are expecting it to be something more along the lines of MaseI don’t get this comment/post? 2pac has never been more relevant than the past 10 days. His interviews and music all resurfacing during this period of injustice & unrest. People forget he was a 25 year old kid when he diedplus storf will make sure we never get a tupac album because of the equivilent of "you know john lennon beat his wife"

Gotcha! I’m really hoping we get Prince Paul’s “A Prince Among Thieves”! That’s the hip-hop album from 1999 I really, really, really want on vinyl! It would also sell out pretty quickly like Handsome Boy Modelling School and I know my boy @Mather would be all over the July R&HH ROTM if it was A Prince Among Thieves!I'm personally not anticipating the worst but alot of folk in here have been of late due to the opinion being poor choices. Thankfully, the Me Against The World reissue sounds great! I’d like a Tupac ROTM, but not as much as I’d like a Dr Dre The Chronic/The Chronic 2001 ROTM for example!plus storf will make sure we never get a tupac album because of the equivilent of "you know john lennon beat his wife"
Mmmmm yeah! I love Tupac so much! He really has never been more relevant with what’s going on! King Kendrick knew how important and precious he was when he was putting together To Pimp A Butterfly!2pac has never been more relevant than the past 10 days.
