I was really hoping we were going to get Ol’ Dirty Bastard! Skee-Lo and Doug E. Fresh are weak choices! 🙅‍♂️❌

I really hope we don’t get either of those two! I’m hoping we get something sweet but it’s not looking very good! 😂🤪😩

Doug E. Fresh is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me... although it’d probably still be a swaption.

according to this he did

Well I’ll be damned. My life is a lie. (It still won’t be this, that’s the wrong Herbie album)

Working through Rushen, 4 tracks on that album have been sampled damn near 200 times per Who Sampled.
Patrice Rushen’s Straight From The Heart is just such a great album! I was very happy VMP made it a Classics ROTM! The pressing sounds superb and anyone who loves hip-hop sampling production should get this ROTM! It’s incredible! “Number One (Instruemntal)” reminds me so much of a Quik’s Groove Interlude track! 😍😍🔥🔥

Omg, I just absolutely love the Classics track! I adore that track so much! It’s life! ♥️♥️♥️

Oh God someone on reddit said Skee-Lo is under the Sony umbrella.

It’s gonna fucking be fucking Skee-Lo. Fuck.
Is it bad that I didn't even know who Skee-Lo was until this thread?

Looked him up on wikipedia and saw this choice descriptor: " Antoine Roundtree (born March 27, 1975), better known by his stage name Skee-Lo, is an American rapper. He is best known for his 1995 song, "I Wish", which became a hit in several countries and reached No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.[5] He is considered to have been a one-hit wonder."

One-hit wonder? Cool choice.

Junior M.A.F.I.A. - Conspiracy

Released in 1995

I need you tonight sampled Patrice Rushen (March Classics)

Debut Album - 1
I guessed this and others did also in the Reddit forum, and Storf would have definitely of seen the guesses. So it won’t be this, which is kinda good as the only great tracks on Conspiracy are the three main singles on it; Player’s Anthem, I Need You Tonight & Get Money!
