yes, it was discussed a bit over on Reddit. Was Junior M.A.F.I.A. a Reddit guess?
Is it bad that I didn't even know who Skee-Lo was until this thread?
Looked him up on wikipedia and saw this choice descriptor: " Antoine Roundtree (born March 27, 1975), better known by his stage name Skee-Lo, is an American rapper. He is best known for his 1995 song, "I Wish", which became a hit in several countries and reached No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.[5] He is considered to have been a one-hit wonder."
One-hit wonder? Cool choice.
failed the url testMack 10 Self titled debut?
Oh God someone on reddit said Skee-Lo is under the Sony umbrella.
It’s gonna fucking be fucking Skee-Lo. Fuck.
It would be a good choice strictly from the perspective that it looks like there is currently only 1 pressing according to Discogs and it seems super rare and pricey.Wasn't it guessed already?
That is certainly one way of looking at it.It would be a good choice strictly from the perspective that it looks like there is currently only 1 pressing according to Discogs and it seems super rare and pricey.
That song was on heavy rotation on MTV the summer between 7th and 8th grade but even my Junior High self knew I didnt need to own the album. Is it bad that I didn't even know who Skee-Lo was until this thread?

I really wanted the Rap & Hip-Hop ROTM to be a strong pick like Prince Paul
This ⛏ is likely
I think that was between 6th and 7th for me, my first MTV binge was like a year away. That song was on heavy rotation on MTV the summer between 7th and 8th grade but even my Junior High self knew I didnt need to own the album.
They play that song once an hour at six flags so I’ve heard it 100s of times since I had a kid.Is it bad that I didn't even know who Skee-Lo was until this thread?

Essentals is great. Classics isn't a blockbuster but is good enough. R&HH is shaping up to be a big ol' turdbuger. If it legitimately wasn't already guessed on reddit its definately a letdown.I really wanted the Rap & Hip-Hop ROTM to be a strong pick like Prince Paul
At least the August Essentials and Classics ROTM’s are both
Mmmmmmm I know, right! No disrespect to Doug E Fresh but there is just no way they pick that album. Same with Skee Lo
I really connect with you on that one! Like 1995 is maybe my favourite year for hip-hop in the 90's because you had incredible albums from Mobb Deep, Raekwon, GZA, Big L, O.D.B., Goodie MOB, 2Pac, The Pharcyde, Smif-N-Wessun etcThat’s the thing about strong years, I get PISSED when there’s a weak selection.
Oh but there is.No disrespect to Doug E Fresh but there is just no way they pick that album. Same with Skee Lo
