so we just not going to mention Idlewild lol, for real tho lets not talk about that one.
I know it shouldn’t count hahanah that’s not an outkast album. I’m still mad about it when I thought we had a double album was coming but it was just two solo albums lmao
I mean as a whole sure it's pretty disappointing for am OutKast album, but there's definitely still some shit on there that's really goodso we just not going to mention Idlewild lol, for real tho lets not talk about that one.
We are a perfect match! But for actual Outkast albums I’d probably rank them ATLiens=Stankonia > Aquemini > southernplaya > idlewild
i agree tho The Love Below is not a Hip Hop albumI also prefer The Love Below much more than Speakerboxxx!
well, after Stankonia.everyone knows Aquemini is the best OutKast album anyway
I’m not sure what you can really categorize it as. It has nearly every genre involved at one point or another. I haven’t really ever heard anything like it before and haven’t heard anything like it again afterwards.i agree tho The Love Below is not a Hip Hop album
Is Stankonia your favourite OutKast album? It makes me happy that I have the MOV Stankonia, MOV Speakerboxx/The Love Below, Southernplaya VMP, Atliens Newbury and Aquemini standard but damn it sounds good.
I wouldn't say it is no, but like many others on here I don't know that I can name a favorite, it changes. Aquemini is definitely up there. Is Stankonia your favourite OutKast album?
Mmmmm I thought so! It kinda changes for me as well, but it’s always ATLiens and Stankonia changing for me! When I play the vinyl and So Fresh So Clean comes on, it’s just such a vibe - such an effortlessly smooth and cool song that sounds dreamy and galactic! And the. Ms. Jackson plays afterwards and I’m like “Yep, this is OutKast’s best album”! But with ATLiens, when “Wheelz of Steel” plays, especially at nighttime, my mind just disappears and it’s like I’m stargazing and I’m like “This is too good!”I wouldn't say it is no, but like many others on here I don't know that I can name a favorite, it changes. Aquemini is definitely up there.
If you like experimental inspired hip-hop, you will absolutely love Stankonia Dukey! You will fall in love with the album! I’m hoping VMP are still have Stankonia in the works for an Essentials ROTM! I’m keen to get the definitive pressing of Stankonia, even though the MOV pressing is pretty great!i know i will have to spend that 40 bucks when one of the october or november are stankonia..
i haven't even listened to the full thing, but i do really like southernplayalistic and more experimental rock inspired hip hop is always a plus
You’ve got a super nice turntable! You definitely can tell that you care as well about looks when it comes to turntables because it’s honestly stunning! I love the black clamp and black tonearm with that timber as well! It’s all very classy and timeless!Speaking of hip hop adjacent acts... you guys know this one? Spinning it right now. It's definitely much more drum and bass than hip hop but it was huge when it came out in 97.
