Going off discogs, it is likely the digital mastering was done at BG and the lacquer cutting was done at Capitol by Ian Sefchick.

Bummer that you can only request a waitlist for recently sold out Exclusives. The page for the Art Blakey's Just Coolin' no longer exists for example, even though it still isn't shipping until like, September. (Edit: They also just removed Alfredo's listing entirely as well)
So of course, there's no way for me or anyone else to show interest in my ultimate VMP white whale...

You may try asking CS if they can put you on a waitlist for those titles (or if they could put up a waitlist for them in store) or if possibly they still have a copy around. Not sure if that would work, but you could give it a try.

Ugh, that really really sucks. I hope you can sell those records you're getting that you don't want.
It's funny ... people just read about experiences like yours and how fucked up this company is, scroll on through without acknowledging it and still throw money at them.
Then come in here and post questions and comments about how this company fucked up on them and they just don't understand it.
Like - really? There are almost 1100 pages in here. Choose just one page randomly and you'll find examples of their incompetency.
Also: Black Lives STILL Matter. And yes, I'm pretty damn salty about being told to take those thoughts elsewhere.
Thanks for the heads up, just got a shipping notification for this too. (my orders page are all still showing "Invalid date" for all my preorders)

Honestly, I have very few Chet Baker records in my collection and I can say with some confidence that he's considered a staple in jazz. I like his music (surprised by how much I have been enjoying his Tone Poet release) and will likely pick this one up depending on price. I often find that even if VMP looks to be charging a bit more, they tend to be cheaper because of the free shipping and the cost of records over here in the UK compared with the US (it might look like a small difference on paper, but really it adds up).I’m enjoying this record but I don’t love it. Even though the colour variant looks nice, it’s a pass from me as I don’t think the sound quality will be amazing on this one, it won’t be like a Classics ROTM or Blue Note Tone Poet quality pressing. So yeah, it’s a hard pass for me on this unfortunately!
What are you thinking @Selaws ? Are you going to get this or pass on this one too?
Really, really, really want that Oliver Nelson “Skull Session” exclusive though!
I hope you manage to get a copy of Skull Session buddy, its annoying that you clearly want it to listen to whilst others buy to flip.

That's very interesting. I've just checked and for the few RotMs I've checked it's the same for me. Waitlist option only shows when you're not logged in. Exception may be exclusives as for example the waitlist option for Skull sessions also shows when I'm logged in.
When I entered several waitlists yesterday I wasn't logged in indeed.
