I purchased the End of An Ear Khruangbin and the indie exclusive Phoebe Bridgers. I almost went with the VMP versions of both of these but now that I have all summer to spin them I am pretty happy with my decision. They need to get their shit together. Very few of their exclusives that are worth waiting an extra 2 or 3 months especially when there are other exclusive pressings available.

Which pressing of Phoebe Bridges “Punisher” do you have? On Discogs, it seems that all the coloured variants so far sound muddy/have loud surface noise!

I have felt that way about a few of the VMP rising albums but decided to grab Kate Bollinger during the Black Friday sale and I find myself spinning it frequently despite it only having 6 songs on it.

Which pressing of Phoebe Bridges “Punisher” do you have? On Discogs, it seems that all the coloured variants so far sound muddy/have loud surface noise!

I think it’s more of Dead Ocean issue than a colored pressing issue.

I have the indie exclusive red wavy thing. I report no surface noise issues that stood out to me.

That’s great to know! That means just a lot of people got a noisy pressing but there’s still quiet ones out there!

I got the same pressing. My copy doesn’t sound great but It is pretty much what I was expecting.

the Phoebe Bridgers album is definitely already in my top 3 or 5 of the year. “I Know the End” is one of the best songs of the year.

what are we expecting for swaps this month... just keeping Classics. I need to decide if I drop the other two subs or not.

I may try that trick where I swap my main sub for credit (and use that for a preorder) and swap one of the side subs for Classics. And I guess probably drop the other unless there is something good in swaps.
