The $34 and $40 is now the ROTM standard price sadly, no matter what it is. That's why you see stuff like TVOTR in the store for $40 even though I think I must have paid $23 or less for it initially. They don't have different prices based on when they were released. I get that they are trying to get you to sign up to be a member to get the better pricing in swaps.I fully agree, but at the same time, they did announce that the swap copies were part of a larger re-press. They also could have left them out of swaps entirely, and cashed in to a greater extent. I think their goal was to get a limited number of copies into the hands of customers who previously lost out due to VMP overselling (this happened to me twice on Blossom). They sent an email to give a heads up, which I did appreciate. Of course, word always gets out here and on reddit, and it becomes a free for all (though I was able to grab both in swaps).
All of that said, I'm fairly certain $34 and $40 are significant markups vs. the original list prices on both of these, so still a healthy serving of horse shit.
If I join for Essentials now with the 3x2 deal can I swap for McCoy?

But would it be possible to join for Essentials and swap John Mayer for McCoy Tyner? Has anyone tried that (or any other sawp) yet?It doesn't work for Classics, unfortunately. And unlike last time - when it was a 3 for 2 - this offer (at least in the U.S.) is $21 off, so you end up paying $60 for 3 months.
If it works like the last one, you cannot swap your first pick - the one that starts the subscriptionBut would it be possible to join for Essentials and swap John Mayer for McCoy Tyner? Has anyone tried that (or any other sawp) yet?
Correct however I was able to get CS to do a manual swap for me last timeIf it works like the last one, you cannot swap your first pick - the one that starts the subscription
They did allow manual swaps last time around (I started with 'Aretha Now') but you couldn't choose the current Classics selection, and I'm guessing the same applies this time around. cc @agutierrezbIf it works like the last one, you cannot swap your first pick - the one that starts the subscription
How about a Topo Chico?!
Margo Guryan‘s “Take A Picture” was an instant purchase! It’s hazy, summery, sensual. decorated with sunflowers, daydreaming and retroness, simple yet so embellished, and is so psychedelic in an innocent way! Margo’s jazzy, upper register, velvety whisper is intoxicating too!Snagged the Blossom Dearie. Deciding if I want the Margo Guryan, Harold Alexander, or neither, I’ve spent way too much. Probably going the latter.
I ordered it too and it sound fine but it looks absolutely nothing like the mockup. So you all reached out to them about this? I figured it is VMP so I'd just take my losses unless they want to give me a credit.

Thanks for your replies! I just emailed them asking if it was possible to join for Essentials, but have McCoy be my first record.
