Yeah, I think I'm just wasting my time, anyone who is going to buy from VMP is going to regardless of what I have to say. I think people just deserve better than VMP and it bothers me that VMP gets a pass on so much bullshit. They get away with it because they know their consumers will come back the second they have something "desirable." I just get tired of seeing it, all the outrage and denouncing of VMP only for people to be so easily swayed back in. But people are free to spend their money however they're going to spend it and we'll just let VMP keep conducting piss-poor business without repercussion.

Agreed, At this point I Hope everyone on here knows their deal and whether they are comfortable doing business with them. Once the decline began and the shadiness began I understand the initial anger and disappointment but at this point (especially here) everyone who chooses to business with I would hope gets it at this point. At this point they are no different than the multitude of corporations I begrudgingly give money to on a regular basis.

I guess part of my outlook is the lack of weight I give them in my life.
I buy from them.
I also think they are shitty.
I don't see any dissonance there. Because, again, as a record store they aren't in conflict with my core values as a person - so I can move on just fine. I also try to be discerning in my buying so I hardly ever buy their exclusives - cause really for the most part they can be found everywhere just not in whatever color du jour that they're offering.
I get that if someone grandstands about how shitty they are and then the next month they're riding that bull again....yea, that gets a side eye. There's no point of drawing a line in the sand if you're gonna be blowing at the same time. But it's def nothing I'm gonna get angry about - there's so much in this world to be angry about. A store definitely isn't gonna get mine unless they're doing some seriously fucked shit.

@duke86fan please buy things you want instead of feeling like you need the R&HH pick. You will always have another chance to get it later down the line, it's not worth decimating your entire plans.

I definitely do hear you and understand where you’re coming from though! It’s just very messy with VMP as they always stuff things up, ship orders late, account issues, sending the wrong stuff etc. Like even I need to email them soon to tell them to split my orders so then they can ship my Whitney Houston and Willie Nelson and Jaunt with my September ROTM’s!
Like their system is a mess and they aren’t a transparent company. We all know that! But there’s so much goodness and VMP, even though they have inconsistent CS, will eventually still make things right!
I am just very laid back when it comes to things being shipped etc. like I’m all relaxed with that! Even UO hasn’t shipped my Gwen Stefani yet when they said they would on the 14th of August! Same case for Britney Spears’ Britney exclusive! Hasn’t shippped yet either.
Vinyl Digital hasn’t shipped 5 records I purchased with them more than a few months ago due to Coronavirus issues. I ordered Tierra Whack on top around 6 months ago and that hasn’t shipped either.
The A.A.L. I pre-ordered from a Dutch company and they have it in stock, but cannot ship to Australia at the moment. I pre-ordered that like 3 months ago and I’m happy to wait another 3 months. No rush for me.
Lido Pimienta, I have two orders that were shipped in May. I received one of them just on Monday and am praying I receive the other one as that has the records in there! I just enquired once about them and could’ve done a PayPal dispute, but I’m happy to wait and just see what happens!
Why am I saying this? Because it shows that maybe there are a lot of others like me that just don’t get too bothered by delays, service etc. It’s just a bit of insight into my thought processing and I think many others would be the same!

This. From what is happening in the US politically, I just cannot muster up any strong feelings about VMP one way or the other. I’m already doing all I can to stay sane dealing with everything else going on right now.
I’ll subscribe if they release something that is really worth it to me. It just so happens that Fishscale is one of those releases. I acknowledge all of their bullshit which is why I tend to not purchase any exclusives from them. Which is easy to do since pretty much everything can be gotten elsewhere.

yeah no offense nathan but you are being very uncomfortably predatory... i had already planned on doing some stuff to make an extra 30 but only to pay for my subscriptions (my crunchyroll for anime and spotify student is about 15 bucks)... and was planning on doing work that would get me about 30 dollars soon.... but now i dont have enough to pay for them as well as pay for the ROTM and all this stuff

Same. I'm more cool with VMP now that I don't stress about shipping. Mine shipped pretty damn late this month and I just got it yesterday but everything is there and intact. Would I have liked it earlier? Of course! But I spared myself the stress of it and have everything now so whatever.
Also, got my Gwen Stefani from UO yesterday and it was trashed with the worst packaging I ever got from them.....Used to be a big fan of the way they sent stuff but it's been a shitshow lately.

I did apologise and in the end told Dukefan to listen to Gaporter because she’s more responsible, and that it’s OK if you miss out on those 100 Gecs exclusive variants. It was just a mini throwback thing because I thought it was funny looking back at it, because I was like an evil hormone monster from Big Mouth, and Gap was like a mother figure and it was just so messy and crazy haha

I am not sure Dukey really wants the AotM. I think Dukey hates the idea of missing the AotM. There's a big difference.
