The Idler Wheel pressing sounds really good! I absolutely love it! Highly recommend it!

I am pretty sure this is a repress like Blossom Dearie and Handsome Boy Modelling School, but am not 100% sure! Most likely a repress though, and I have a feeling VMP might only keep The Idler Wheel as a swap exclusive for now! A way for them to get people to subscribe to get a copy!

It’s above average Nathan. It’s a good record and it’s nice to have it on vinyl but the press and mastering is fine but nothing to write home about.

Agree, but to be fair, I haven't heard good things about the original press, so it could be as good as it gets on currently existing vinyl.

Yeah, it’s not outstanding in terms of sound quality, but it does sound really good! Definitely worth grabbing it if you enjoy the album! And it definitely sounds better than most new release exclusives!

Any other month I would have swapped for Shabaka, but all three picks this month were great and I suspect that Spiritualized is the only one that will make it past this month and I've wanted it for ages.

Yeah, although I really like the Shabaka album, I definitely prefer the three ROTM’s moreso! They’re all just so good in my opinion! A+ month!

Y’all, look what showed up today. This is not the VMP version, it’s the Real Gone Music Exclusive that was $10 cheaper and limited to 100 and I know a few of you got it. I was NOT expecting this splatter to be this gorgeous and striking View attachment 63320

I have the first 3 splatters from this series arriving this week! Glad to see they are reissuing the entire black jazz catalogue!

Just discussing this in classics, my black version sounds better than my VMP version. However only the last 20 seconds of sides A and C had a little noise.

I have not read the last couple of pages but has it been discussed yet how fundamentally fucked it is to be fake selling out of $24 store exclusives so that you can make people pay $33-$40 for them as a swap?

Yep--I brought this up on reddit too. It's insane. And half the swaptions are cheaper in the store yet people are acting like this is some huge haul of options this time around.
