I remember seeing a write up a while back comparing the VMP to the standard black and proclaiming the VMP version to be superior. I don’t know for sure though.

I’m sure I‘ll snag the standard pressing at some point. I just thought that the VMP variant looked pretty dope and it’s one of my favorite albums of the past ten years.

Ok I didn’t know if people knew something I didn’t about this or it is the scarcity/color that drives the excitement.
I see on Discogs that someone reviewed the VMP of bandana saying it’s the best possible version or some such words - I don’t know how much I trust that they’ve listened to every single version. For that release I got the standard and the Madlib cut from Rappcats and the Madlib cut is a much better pressing.

Is the VMP of piñata supposed to be better? I never really paid attention to what people said about it but the standard black is good.

Aesthetically better perhaps I think it may have a heavier jacket too if that is your thing.

Yeah I think someone on Reddit compared the VMP, Standard, and Newbury Comics version.

Y’all, look what showed up today. This is not the VMP version, it’s the Real Gone Music Exclusive that was $10 cheaper and limited to 100 and I know a few of you got it. I was NOT expecting this splatter to be this gorgeous and striking

No. I believe someone asked on twitter and it will be end of Sept (ie w Oct announcement)

so I let my add ons go after the price hike and just kept my core essentials subscription but when I checked swaps, I saw Shabaka was there and the store price was 39 for members. The add on is 33 each and I wanted to keep Spiritualized so.... ;-)

I'm a single track Essentials subscriber for a few years. I used to add RHH and Classics ALL THE TIME, but at these new prices, it's gonna take some incredible selections for me to add on now.

It's so weird. 10$ increase is crazy. If you want to increase, why not $3 or max $5 per add on.

yup. Added to swap only and to save 6 bucks- ... and will cancel again after swaps close. Too much $$.

Hey all, what’s the deal with idler wheel? Was it a good press, worth the money? Are the ones in swaps a few leftovers or is this a repress that will be in the store awhile (like blossom or HBMS)?

The Idler Wheel pressing sounds really good! I absolutely love it! Highly recommend it!

I am pretty sure this is a repress like Blossom Dearie and Handsome Boy Modelling School, but am not 100% sure! Most likely a repress though, and I have a feeling VMP might only keep The Idler Wheel as a swap exclusive for now! A way for them to get people to subscribe to get a copy!
