They don't really do that, they just pretend they do when they steal ideas from the forum so they don't have to give credit.![]()
Two years ago I would’ve been all over that Grace exclusive, even though I own a nice sounding copy. But that price, eek.
But I may jump if they ever do get another Fiona.
I think @Mather confirmed it was iirc. The 7" is new. Not a big sell for me personally though.Grace is an all-time favorite of mine, I have the 2010 release. I would probably grab this at $27 or $28. My copy sounds decent and I'm guessing it's probably the exact same master.
No they’re a joke but they didn’t hurt me. Never say never if the right album comes up, it won’t though, they’re so full of shit...
Phew!!! Normal service resumed with you @Joe Mac , you are a man of principle without a doubt. If Songs For The Deaf is out i’ll rejoin too. But first there’s a little matter of getting a few more Dylan records.
Haha! I’ve spent the week sorting out my digital library onto my roon server I set up. Only got up to H after 4 nights. My Dylan collection was approaching 200GB...
Yes, and as much as I'm deeply uneasy at the "hallelujah blue", I've been looking for a good pressing of this for a while. And in Canada with taxes that same standard 2010 KG pressing would run me about $32, or more. And I can't afford the 2LP 45 ORG Grundman. So for about $40 CAD with the 7" I'm gunna grab this. If I lived in the States and could get that 2010 for $18 all in I wouldn't have grabbed the VMP... because it is overpriced.I think @Mather confirmed it was iirc. The 7" is new. Is that due to bootlegs or have you them recorded in flac?
The flac CD rips are the lowest quality on there...
I have SACD rips of all the ones that came out on that format so converted them all as DSD files. Approx 2GB an album...
And I have all the studio, all the live and all the bootleg series (and as they’re digital that’s the full 6+ CD versions...)
Very impressive. I have them all ripped too my young padwan. You are strong in the ways of the force and will make a great Jedi master.
You're only claiming to be sane because you're legally obligated to. What with the whole "lawyering" thing...The insanity of music collecting, I owned all his studio albums, most on the aforementioned SACDs before I ever got a turntable, now I’m buying them all over again, and I claim to be sane...

I picked it up for the exact same reason. It came up to $42.96 so I can live with that.Yes, and as much as I'm deeply uneasy at the "hallelujah blue", I've been looking for a good pressing of this for a while. I ordered a record from Sub Pop and it arrived in an Amazon-style mailer (which is awesome at protecting against corner dings) and reinforced with a cardboard stiffener (not bubble wrap). If you were VMP and you see how many packages are seriously bent to hell aka crushed, wouldn't you take a peek into the shipping part of the operation to see what the blazes is happening? That Stella Donnelly pictured above-something massive had to be set on top of it or Patches is throwing wrenches at the packages in the VMP warehouse. I accidently ended up with 5 items all shipping this month and I know something's going to arrive damaged...has every month the past 3 months.
I have Grace on mini disc. I think it was the first and only offical release I ever purchased in the mini disc format.I love Grace too but I have a 2CD and DVD legacy edition from its 10th anniversary. This seems like less for more money...
This is the info provided from VMP regarding mastering:
"The bonus 7” was mastered at Battery Studios by Vic Anesini. The 12” record is the same audio as Sony has been using for their catalog version. It wasn’t remastered specifically for this VMP version, it was Kevin Gray who mastered this I believe."
